The House of Representatives approved in its second session under Speaker Ali Abdel Aaal referring MP Kamal Ahmed to a special committee to investigate him in the incident of attacking his colleague Tawfiq Okasha during the morning session on Sunday.
Abdel Aaal said that the rules tasked him with keeping order in the parliament, adding that violating regulations is banned.
He further underlined that a special committee will be formed to investigate the incident and submit the outcome to the parliament.
For his part, MP Mortada Mansour underscored that he rejects attacking Okasha by Ahmed, noting that he is against the meeting held between Okasha and the Israeli ambassador as well as normalization with Israel.
Mansour demanded submitting the report of the special committee investigating the meeting of Okasha to the parliament on Monday.
