Manama - BNA

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that saboteurs and outlaws cannot be allowed to wreak havoc and undermine the kingdom's security, stability and achievements in the name of democracy and freedoms of opinion and expression. He said that whoever poses a threat to the citizens' safety and security and intimidates them is, by definition, a terrorist who is engaged in terrorism for special agendas and, therefore, have to be confronted and stopped."We are strongly determined to protect the homeland from terrorists by the force of the law, and we are certain that they cannot undermine our resolve, affect our unity or distract us from bringing about more development achievements for our people," he emphasized, adding that the government is engaged in developing the kingdom and safeguarding its security and stability so as to defend its hard-won accomplishments.HRH Premier underlined that the Bahraini people has, throughout history proved its unity and cohesion and stunned the world with its firm patriotic stances. This came as HRH Premier received today, at the Gudaibiya Palace, a number of key economic, trade, political, intellectual and media dignitaries.During the audience, HRH Premier lauded the kingdom's milestone political, economic and social achievements during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's prosperous era.He added that HM the King established a developed approach of democratic and parliamentary practices, which made Bahrain, thanks to HM's wise leadership, the government's work and the citizens' cooperation, more prosperous despite the challenges and attempts to drag it into crises which, he said, are doomed to fail thanks to Bahraini people's patriotic awareness. He noted that the participation of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander in the government as a First Deputy Premier will support government action and consolidate its policies and goals.HRH Premier stressed constant desire to meet the citizens in order to interact with them, be informed about their needs and worries and be able to respond to their remarks on all issues related to the nation, as well as to their lives."Our people have dignity and pride, and the citizens are in our hearts and we will not accept that one of them leads an indecent life," he also said, affirming the government's constant keenness to provide the requirements of decent living for all despite scarcity of means."All words of thanks are not enough to pay tribute to such a loyal people," HRH Premier said, noting that Bahrain is proud to have such hard-working citizens who have always showed readiness to defend their homeland. He pointed out that Bahraini citizens are respected by peoples all over the world thanks to their effective role in building their nation and enhancing its progress.
