Immigration Minister Nabila Makram discussed on Wednesday with Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati preparations for "Egypt Can 3" conference that will take place mid December.
The conference will tackle issues of concern to the Egyptian countryside, especially in the domains of irrigation and water resources domains.
The conference will be organized by the Ministry of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs in cooperation with the Irrigation Ministry under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.
Representatives of Egyptian ministries of agriculture, electricity, environment, industry, housing and military production in addition to a number of relevant organizations will take part in the event.
Abdel Aati said the conference will discuss challenges facing water resources in Egypt and suggested solutions, the role of new technologies in facing these challenges, food, water safety and energy mechanisms and achieving sustainable development.
This is the third conference of its kind. The first one was held in Hurghada in December. The second one, dubbed "Egyptian Women Can" was held in Cairo in July.
