The Lebanese Presidency said on Monday that the Head of State, Michel Aoun, had held consultations with representatives of the country's parliamentary blocs to discuss the means to handle the prevailing situation, especially after Prime Minister Saad Hariri, approved to reconsider his resignation upon the President's request.
"President Aoun hailed the positive attitude of the leaders and representatives of the parliamentary blocs who insisted on the need to safeguard national unity, security, and political stability, as well as to remove the obstacles that might hinder the recovery of the State", a statement issued by the Lebanese Presidency said
