President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Tuesday afternoon left for Jordan to participate in the 28th Arab Summit which will begin Wednesday.
He was accompanied by the Minister at the Presidency, Dr. Fadul Abdalla Fadul, the Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, and the Minister of Finance, Dr. Badr-Eddin Mahmoud.
He was seen off at Khartoum Airport by the First Vice - President and National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, and a number of ministers and senior officials.
SUNA learned that the summit will discuss a number of issues pertinent to the current situation in the Arab World, the importance of realizing peace in Syria, Yemen, Libya and Somalia, the initiative of the President Al-Bashir on Arab food security and project of rehabilitation in Sudan which is adopted by the Arab League.
