Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, stressed Saturday that protecting the march of the State and its institutions is a red line, adding, "We shall allow no one to bypass it!"
"National solidarity, in general, and solidarity between the army and its people, in particular, constitutes the cornerstone of the great national structure, capable of facing the winds of crises and tribulations under any circumstance," added Aoun.
The Army Chief's words came during a ceremony held in honor of those who contributed financially to the Army's "Fajr Al-Joroud" Operation at the Military Club in Fayadieh, Baabda.
"The army will never neglect its national achievements, honoring the blood of its martyrs and wounded, and will remain the safety valve of the nation's unity, security and stability," vowed Aoun.
"The preservation of the lives of citizens and their property and protecting the march of the State and its institutions, as well as defending the nation's soil is a red line not to be bypassed under any pretext, circumstance or slogan," he strongly asserted
