The Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises, RAK SME, a RAK Chamber initiative, has announced a new membership category, "Student Membership" for students from primary to university levels.
Yousif Esmaeel, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of RAK SME, said that the project will operate on the basis of enhancing RAK SME's social responsibility, and spreading knowledge and awareness of the concept of innovation and creativity in entrepreneurship among students. This will be part of the establishment’s annual plan for this category of specialised training and awareness programmes.
"Following the vision of our wise leadership in building a capable and skillful society, the RAK SME seeks to provide opportunities to empower, educate and train students with entrepreneurial skills to enter the business market and thus contribute positively to national economic growth," he said.
Rashed Sawaqed, Feasibility Studies and Business Development Consultant at RAK SME, said, "The launch of Student Membership will take effect at the beginning of next year. Members will have the opportunity to attend all the training courses related to entrepreneurship as organised by the RAK SME . Membership will be available for all students in Ras al-Khaimah. A number of training courses targeting them will be introduced as part of the training plan for the future."
