The Rapid Support Forces have announced their arrest of the abductor of the Swiss hostage, Margret Shenkel, who worked in the field of humanitarian aid in North Darfur since the year 2002.
In a statement to SUNA, the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglu (Hemedti), said that his forces have arrested the kidnapper in his house during their combing and cleaning to North Darfur from unruly persons, adding that the abductor was transported to Al-Fasher city.
Gen. Hemedti said that his forces have seized more than 500 motorcycles and arrested 50 unruly persons at a number of areas in Kutom Locality and some areas in North Darfur.
He pointed out that the Rapid Support Forces are currently besieging Saraf Umra area and carrying out their role in confronting the outlaws and cleansing all the area of Darfur.
He indicated the operations for the collection of unlicensed weapons and defeating the unruly persons are progressing well and according to the plans.
