The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has finished upgrading the Waley al-Ahd Highway roundabout.
A U-turn has been set up under the interchange to accommodate the traffic coming from the North on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway and heading to Shaikh Zayed Highway to lead to the areas of A’ali, Salmabad and Isa Town educational zone,
The infrastructure development followed directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to ease road congestions and ensure the smooth flow of the traffic.
The new U-Turn is expected to accommodate up to 800 cars per hour and ease traffic congestions on the interchange of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway and Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway.
