President of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, has expressed deep pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s praise of and admiration for the outstanding level showcased by Bahrain’s national football team during the 23rd Gulf Cup, hosted by the State of Kuwait recently.
HM King Hamad praised the national football team’s performance while receiving here yesterday HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the SCYS First Deputy Chairman and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BFA chief said.

BFA president stressed that the royal praise is a badge of honour on the chest of all Bahraini athletes, especially the football community.

Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HM the King, the first supporter of the youth and sports movement in the kingdom, for his constant care, noting that the Bahraini sports have attained landmark results thanks to the incessant support by the leadership.

He added that the royal praise will motivate BFA to double its efforts to ensure that the national teams reach the highest levels to achieve the aspirations of the leadership.
