Royal Oman Police arrests 50 infiltrators, deports 88
Muscat - Arab today

 In collaboration with other military and security departments, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) last week arrested 50 infiltrators of different nationalities in a number of wilayats for entering the Sultanate illegally.

The ROP also deported 88 infiltrators after taking the necessary legal actions, in coordination with their respective embassies. 

Meanwhile, the weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower pointed out that the number of workers violating the Labour Law during May 21st till 27th, 2017 stood at (525) including (364) commercial workers, (76) farm workers and (85) housemaids and their equivalents.

The inspection teams caught (513) workers including (354) absconding workers, (109) astray workers and (50) workers with other violations.

The Governorate of North Al Batina witnessed the largest number of workers violating the law with (166) followed by the Governorate of A'Dhahira with (77) workers.

The competent authorities at the Ministry of Manpower are taking the legal procedures against them.

On the other hand, the Manpower Ministry statistics showed that (502) expatriate workers were deported for violating provisions of the Labour Law and the ministerial decisions executing the law
