The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has labeled as "untrue" social media reports on preventing Qatari Umrah performers from entering the Grand Holy Mosque.
The General Presidency of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque Affairs was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency as saying in a statement Monday that "the directives of the Kingdom's leadership emphasise providing services and facilitating affairs of Umrah performers from all countries of the world, including brothers from the State of Qatar."
"What is circulated in the social media on preventing Qatari Umrah performers from entering the Grand Holy Mosque is untrue, " added the statement.
"Since 9/9/1438 AH and until today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has received 1633 Qatari Umrah performers who performed Umrah rituals."
