Saudis told to renew weapon license before May 15

Saudi Arabia has given its citizens until Jamad Al-Akhir 24 corresponding to May 15, 2012 to renew licenses of their personal weapons without fine, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday. "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has agreed to write off the fines to be imposed on citizens on the basis Article 28 of the weapons law if they come forward to renew their licenses," the ministry said. The ministry urged citizens possessing weapons to renew their licenses quickly, making use of this royal gesture.
