The Sharjah Charity House has provided AED742,000 to settle the financial dues of 22 prisoners sentenced for involvement in various financial cases in the penal and corrective institution of the Sharjah Police.
The gesture aims to release them and support their families to overcome their dire living conditions Lt. Colonel Abdullah Ibrahim, Deputy Director of Punitive and Correctional Establishment at the Sharjah Police, received a delegation from the Sharjah Charity House, led by Khalid Mohammed Al Khayyal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sharjah Charity House, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of several police officers from the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at the Sharjah Police.
Ibrahim hailed the Sharjah Charity House's support for charitable and humanitarian work, as part of the initiatives of the Year of Giving.
He added that the gesture reflected its significant role in ensuring social protection and empowerment, as well as enhancing solidarity and cohesion among all segments of the society.
