The Court of the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi mourned the death of the Ruler's brother Shaikh Humaid Bin Mohammad Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, who passed away on Thursday night. A statement from the court mourning the death of Shaikh Humaid Al Qasimi contained prayers to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in peace and admit him to the eternal paradise. The funeral prayers were performed at the King Faisal Mosque in Sharjah on Friday after the Juma Prayers, following which the burial will be held at the Jubail graveyard. The Ruler will receive condolences for three days at his Al Badie Palace in Sharjah. The Diwan also announced an official morning of seven days, during which the flags will be flown half-mast in the emirate. The Court of the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqar Al Qasimi also mourned the death of Shikh Humaid. A seven-day official mourning has been declared in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Meanwhile, the graduation ceremony for the students completing the first academic season of 2011 at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed due to the mourning period. AUS said that the next date will be announced later.
