Marking Bahrain's National Day and His Majesty the King's Accession Day, the Shura Council extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier as well as the Bahraini people on the occasion.

In a statement, the Shura Council wished Bahrain constant security and more prosperity, reiterating allegiance to the leadership and lauding the advanced level reached by Bahrain thanks to the comprehensive development strategies spearheaded by HM the King and enjoying full support from the government.

The council commended the royal reform project which enabled Bahrain to make big strides in terms of best democratic practices and promote the state of institutions and law which is based on the principle of separation between powers, guaranteeing political and civil rights for all citizens and fostering co-existence and peace to achieve sustainable development.

The Shura Council paid tribute to the loyal Bahraini people for their enduring efforts to bring about national achievements and uphold Bahrain's name in Arab and international gatherings by confirming the kingdom's pioneering status in the literary, cultural, economic, political and social fields. It also affirmed support to legislation aimed at bolstering patriotism and belonging to the nation so as to achieve the aspirations of the leadership and people.
