Security bodies have stepped up measures around churches across the republic following Sunday's terrorist bombing at the Boutrosiya church in the precincts of the Abbassiya-based Cathedral.
Security officials in various governorates have ordered tightening security measures with installing more bomb detectors and preventing cars from parking near churches to prevent such terrorist attacks.
Meanwhile, Egyptian universities and political parties continued to condemn the terrorist attack.
Banha university issued a statement condemning the bombing, calling on all Egyptians to stand shoulder to shoulder to face terrorism.
The undersecretary of the ministry of Awqaf in South Sinai condemned the attack, saying that terrorism knows no boundaries or religion.
Al Wafd political party also issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack, calling on Egyptians to unite against such terrorist acts.
