Osama El-Keneisy sentenced to 15 years for killing and torture of Sayed Belal during investigations into 2011 church bombingA state security officer, Osama El-Keneisy, has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for torturing Sayed Belal to death during investigations into a bomb attack at the Two Saints Church in Alexandria.El-Keneisy was sentenced, in absentia, to life in prison in December 2012. The Alexandria Court of Cassation ordered a retrial to start on 17 March after he turned himself in.Other officers convicted in the case, including Hossam El-Shennawy, Ahmed Mostafa Kamel, Mohamed El-Shimy, were also given long sentences.Signs of torture were found on the victim's body, prompting his family to file a lawsuit against the state security officers.El-Keneisy was a former officer in the now-disbanded State Security Investigations Service (SSIS).Twenty-three people died in the attack on the church on 1 January 2011. source : Ahramonline
