Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) welcomed 122 new participants to its 2017-18 National Leadership Programmes during an interactive orientation event.
The event set the stage for the Qatari professionals to enter QLC's 'Executive, Rising and Government Leaders' programmes. QLC’s Orientation took place from March 5-7, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
At the orientation, new participants were briefed on the yearlong leadership development journey upon which they will soon embark. The event included interactive sessions on programme objectives, as well as engaging, team-building exercises. These exercises focused on teamwork, creativity and management skills, and were designed for participants to learn more about QLC’s modules and fellow participants.
Qatari professionals from across sectors expressed their eagerness to start the curriculum, which includes modules on building effective teams, negotiation skills, and innovation, among others.
During their time at QLC, participants attend a variety of modules and policy seminars held over the course of a year. The participants will learn from influential decision makers through QLC’s Qatar Policy Seminar series, as well as travel internationally on a Learning Journey.
QLC's world-class modules are offered in collaboration with leading institutions such as Harvard University, the University of Cambridge Executive Education, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Duke Corporate Education and HEC Paris. The extensive expertise of participants, who hold positions in government, healthcare, finance, education, the military and business, serves as a valuable resource to the entire cohort, and complements the insights conveyed by QLC.
Qatar Leadership Centre is dedicated to developing leaders who advance Qatar's vision in innovative ways. Its 2016-17 participants will be honored for completing their programmes in a ceremony on March 13th. To date, nearly 400 alumni of the Centre's programmes are contributing to Qatar's development, QNA reported.
