A teenager died on Monday after hanging himself at his home in Tulkarem in the northern West Bank, police said. Adel Masood Jamil Jabir, 17, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his home in Baqa al-Shariqiyya, police said in a statement. Relatives told police that Jabir was still alive when they found him. They said they rushed him to hospital but he died on the way. The death was the third tragedy in the northern West Bank city in recent days. On Sunday, an 18-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her father on Sunday, days after receiving successful results in the high school Tawjihi exams. Witnesses told Ma'an that the attack took place after a heated argument. A day earlier, a 26-year-old man was found hanged in his apartment in Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem, shortly before the fast-breaking Iftar meal. Police have opened investigations into the deaths.
