The Yemeni police managed to arrest a terrorist cell that was planning to carry out attacks on security headquarters in Al Houta district in Lahij province, Sky News reported on Monday.
Chief of Lahij Police Saleh al Sayyed said that the security crackdown led to the arrest of three terrorists and the confiscation of arms, explosives and mortar shells.
Meanwhile, military sources said that Houthi militants sacked nearly 3,400 elements of pro-Saleh forces in Al Hudaydah, the fourth-largest city in Yemen, and replaced them by Houthi elements.
