Mukalla Port saw the arrival of a UAE aid ship yesterday, loaded with hundreds of tons of food supplies to be distributed to vulnerable segments in the Hadhramaut Governorate.
The assistance is being provided as part of the UAE’s relief efforts in Yemen, through its humanitarian and development arm, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, and under the directives of the wise leadership, to help the citizens of Yemen and reduce their suffering.
Abdulaziz Al Jabri, Head of the ERC Team in Hadhramaut, said that the arrival of the UAE aid ship represents the continuation of the maritime relief route that was created by the UAE, through the ERC.
He also highlighted the desire of the ERC and its teams in Yemen's governorates to deliver humanitarian and relief assistance to vulnerable and underprivileged families, to implement the directives of the wise leadership and those of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to help the Yemeni people.
Residents of Hadhramaut expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the UAE’s relief aid.
