A delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, on Saturday held a meeting with the Mexican Red Cross to discuss ways the UAE can contribute to relief efforts in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck the country's capital, Mexico City.
The meeting was held at the Mexican Red Cross Relief Centre in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Mexico and with the participation of the UAE Ambassador to Mexico, Ahmad Hatem Al Menhali.
The President of the Mexican Red Cross, Fernando Suinaga Cardenas, presented a brief on the organisation's ongoing relief operations, and the two sides discussed different avenues of cooperation to help those affected by the natural disaster.
