HE Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, President of the 66th session of the UN General Assembly, said that his current visit to Tunisia aims to support its nascent democratic transition. After meeting with Tunisian Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem, HE Al Nasser said that the UN General Assembly is ready to help Tunisia through its expertise, so as to support democracy, human rights, just rule, and combating corruption. The meeting discussed all the issues on the regional and international arenas, Tunisian Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem said. He added that the meeting also reviewed the positive developments in Tunisia, the path of democratic transition and how it affects the Arab region, and Tunisia's vision with regards to the reform of the UN system that is committed to the common vision of the Arab and African groups.
