VP Directs South Kordofan State to draw plan for firearms collection

The Vice-President of the Republic, and Chairman of Higher Committee for collection of firearms, Hassabo Mohammed Abdul Rahman has directed the South Kordufan State to work out plan for firearms collection as the state is experiencing exceptional situation that needs special handling with regard to collection of arms .
This came when the VP met, Thursday, at the Republican Palace, the Wali (governor) of South Kordufan State, Dr. Issa Adam Abakar who said in press statement that the meeting discussed means for collection of firearms, the agricultural season and services and development projects in the state .
He announced that the VP will visit the state next week, calling on the Chairman of the North Sector, Abdul Aziz Al-Hilo to take positive step towards realization of durable peace in the state .
He affirmed the Armed Forces commitment to cease-fire and cessation of hostilities .
