Security men in North Sinai seized weapons and ammunition on a road within Nakhl police precinct. A security official stated that the arms were found in a small truck when a security patrol suspected its two drivers and went to check them, adding that there had been an exchange of fire between security forces and unknown gunmen before the two drivers ran away into a mountainous area. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be carrying a half-inch machine-gun, four magazines, including 117 night tracer bullets as well as 60 other rounds. All found munitions have been impounded and the necessary legal procedures have been underway.
