Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister Amr Ramadan met on Thursday with United Nations World Food Program (WFP) Country Director and Representative in Egypt GianPietro Bordignon, accompanied by WFP Regional Emergency Coordinator for Syria and neighboring countries Muhannad Hadi. The gathering reviewed WFP activities in Egypt, and providing additional allocations worth $30 million to Egypt's School Nutrition Programs, Ramadan said after the meeting. Talks also tackled food aid for Syrian refugees, as an extra budget of $3.6 million has been set for the purpose of covering the needs of 20,000 Syrian refugees in Egypt.
