Year of Zayed an opportunity to commemorate our founding leader's achievements: Humaid Al Nuaimi

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has praised the directives made by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to set 2018 as the "Year of Zayed".

"Such a noble initiative will remind us of the late Sheikh Zayed bin sultan al Nahyan's journey to the glory,"he said.

Sheikh Humaid recalled that when he became the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in 1966, Sheikh Zayed was well aware that nations are strengthened by their people's unity, amity and commitment.

"The late Sheikh Zayed was a visionary leader who transformed the UAE into a modern nation. The prosperity, security and stability we enjoy today were a result of his dedicated efforts to build capabilities and to wisely utilise resources for the progress of the UAE,"he added.

He concluded by saying that Sheikh Zayed's legacy continues in the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
