Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa met on Sunday with head and members of the Yemeni Communities Supreme Council (YESC). The Premier reviewed with the council members the conditions of the Yemeni expatriates and the possible means to achieve their roles effectively in boosting the development and investment in Yemen as well as enhancing the government's reaction with the expatriates' issues. Basindwa hailed the expatriates' vital role in strengthening the national economy, stressing that the government gives a high priority to their issues. He also talked about the efforts the government makes to ensure the stability required to succeed their or other businessmen's investments in the country. Minister of Expatriates Mujahed al-Quhali revealed the ministry's intent to establish a council of the expatriates' businessmen and another of the economists, adding that the Yemeni expatriates intended to implement a bunch of strategic projects soon.
