Efforts should be collaborated by all concerned bodies to provide food for people who need it in Egypt and the whole world, Supply Minister Khaled Hanafi said on Monday.
In Egypt, the ministry coordinates with the public and private sectors as well as NGOs to improve the food system, Hanafi said.
He was speaking during an event organized by participants in an initiative for providing food for needy people.
The initiative, Kamel Karamak (Complete your good deed), is a national initiative created by Lipton Tea, Knorr Fine Foods and the Egyptian Food Bank in collaboration with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade to raise awareness regarding food disposal.
