The Scientific Research Ministry is working on a plan to develop and overhaul the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute to become the best in the Middle East in offering medical services to liver patients, Minister Sherif Hamad said.
The development plan needs EGP 42 million to improve the level of services offered to citizens and ensure proper medical care is provided to them, Hamad told MENA.
Hamad said he presented to Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab during a meeting Sunday the main features of the plan.
The minister said that he was coordinating with the Planning Ministry to offer the needed financial sources.
