Saudi Acting Health Minister Adel Fakeih said the ministry has coordinated with local experts and international bodies to prevent the Ebola virus outbreak during the hajj season.
In statements to the Saudi "Al-Iqtisadiya" newspaper out on Tuesday, Fakeih said the health ministry has taken all precautionary measures to offer all-out services to pilgrims.
He said the ministry has summoned local experts from the Saudi universities as well as the World Health Organization and other world bodies to be cautious about the epidemic disease.
He said as many as 22,000 practitioners in all specializations are ready to offer health services to pilgrims at all health utilities made during the hajj rituals.
As many as 15 hospitals, including eight in the rituals' sites, with a capacity of 3,200 beds are currently prepared for the hajj season.
