Egypt's Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Ahmed Emad El Din, revealed that the new virus that hit the 11 citizen, in Shubra Al Khaimah area, southern Cairo, contagious virus and can infect anyone.
Emad El Din stressed, in special interview with Arabs Today, that the ministry received a report that four people was injured, in February 28, with symptoms of a strange virus, in Shubra Al Khaimah area, and was immediately detention of Imbaba Fever Hospital, and conduct many tests and medical examinations, but they did not produce any result.
The Minister announced that the ministry used the nuclear medicine to conduct an atomic scan in an attempt to gain access to the virus.
11 people with symptoms similar to gastroenteritis and suspected poisoning, for two families linked by kinship and residents of the two houses independent in Shubra Al Khaimah Qaliubiya province, but the causes of infection has not been identified.
On the other hand, the ministry revealed new health insurance law would be symbiotic system, which will include all citizens, both those who are able to contribute by subscriptions or unable citizens, in which the state will provide a free medical service to them.
Emad El Din stressed that the application of comprehensive health insurance system will take from 12 to 13 years, announcing that they will start applying it in Port Said governorate, as the first province to join the system of new health insurance, especially in the presence of six hospitals eligible for it.
The minister confirmed that the ministry began to receive new notes for ministries on the application of social health insurance law, adding that they are choosing the medical and administrative teams that will implement the first phase of the currently law, to be trained on the new system.
He also denied the statements attributed to him that the late leader Gamal Abdel Nasser was the reason for wasting the health system because the free education.
