Egyptian actress Fefe Abdou is starring in a new film “Mohima Fi Film Qadim” (Mission in an Old Film).
This marks Abdu’s long awaited comebackto Egyptian cinema. In an exclusive interview with Arabstoday, she said she was
very pleased to take part in this film and hopes to attend the premiere to get a sense of what the audience think about her work.
She refused to comment on the attacks towards producer Mohammad al-Sabki because of this film. Al-Sabki’s films were believed to oppose Egyptian values and morals.
She said al-Sabki is one of the most successful producers in Egyptian cinema and said she was pleased to be part of his films.
The film is written by Mohamed Farouq, produced by Ahmad al-Sabki and co-stars Madeline Matar, Nahla Zaki, Lutfi Labib and directed by Ahmed al-Badri.
Abdu said filming will begin on “Mawloud W Sahibaho Ghayeb” along with Haifa Wehbe, Basim Samra, Sumaya Ayoub. The television show is directed by Sherine Adel.
