Bobby Brown says he gave Nick Gordon the chance to see his hospitalized girlfriend -- Brown's daughter Bobbi Kristina -- but Gordon refused to abide by the terms Brown set.
"Let me be very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit," Brown said in a statement through his lawyers to CNN. "Obviously, Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe."
CNN said the statement did not specify what the terms were.
Gordon took to Twitter Saturday to say he thought he could help Bobbi Kristina Brown if only he is allowed to see her.
"If she hears MY voice let me massage her, play her favorite music I believe it will help. If you ask Bobby anything abt he cannot answer," Gordon tweeted.
The 21-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston has been hospitalized in Georgia on life support and in critical condition since she was found face down and unresponsive in her home bathtub Jan. 31. Her father has publicly said her family continues to pray for her recovery and has no plans to remove her from life support.
The circumstances surrounding her medical emergency are under investigation. Police reportedly are looking into whether she and Gordon were involved in a physical altercation before she was discovered in distress.
People magazine reported Saturday Bobbi Kristina Brown had been battling drug addiction for years and was intoxicated the morning of the incident.
Houston accidentally drowned while intoxicated in a hotel bathtub after years of substance abuse Feb. 11, 2012. She was 48.
Bobby Brown has also been candid about his own past addiction issue
