Egyptian film and television actor, Mahmoud Abdel Moghny, spoke to Arab Today to discuss the political turmoil in Egypt. "Military forces have turned to use force to disengage sit-ins organised by the Muslim Brotherhood to confront violence," the actor begins. "The position of the West in this matter was expected," he added, criticising those "working to gain international support at the expense of national interests." He expressed astonishment over the situation adopted by Dr Mohamed elBaradei - who recently resigned as interim vice-president after being unable to cope with the turmoil in the country. Discussing his work, the actor expressed his pleasure for the positive reactions received for his last Ramadan television series.
