Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred said that he has not met with French girl Laura Briol who accused him of raping her months ago; describing what was published over his meeting with her as unfounded rumors.
He said, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, “How can I meet with this girl who accused me of raping her. I asked my lawyer to follow the case, as I am confident of my innocence. I was a victim of a conspiracy. I will not give more details over the issue during the current period not to reveal the defensive approach that we will adopt during the coming period.”
On the other hand, international media reported that the singer met with Moroccan King Mohamed VI to appreciate his support for him during his existence in the prison. They added that the Moroccan singer was keen during the 20-minute meeting to explain his position to the king.
It is important to mention that the Moroccan singer met with the French girl to discuss the ways to reach a compromise with her, while he denied such news describing them as lies.
