Egyptian actress Donia Samir Ghanim has told Arabstoday she was delighted by the compliments she received from Somaiaa al-Khashab in “Ana wal Asal”. When journalist Nishan introduced the actress to Somaiaa, she said Donia was one of the best movie stars of this age. She predicted a very successful future for her, following her parents’ footsteps. In an exclusive statement to Arabstoday, Donia said: “Of course I am happy with this compliment. It comes from an actress I love and admire for her acting talents as well as her personality. I hope I can live up to her expectations, as well as Egyptians and Arab fans.” She added: “There’s one point where I disagree with Somaiaa: I don’t want to have anything to do with stardom, I want to stay down to earth. I do one thing at a time, and I work hard to be successful in anything I do. I never rest on my laurels as I believe in the saying that goes: 'Success is a hard thing to maintain'.”
