Planning Minister Ashraf el-Araby discussed with a delegation from the African Development Bank (AFDB) ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in different fields.
The AFDB delegation comprises Regional Director of North Africa Region Jacob Kolster and Laila Mokadem, the Regional Representative for AFDB in Egypt.
The meeting comes as part of a series of meetings scheduled to be held between the AFDB delegation and the Egyptian government.
In a statement, el-Araby briefed the AFDB delegation on the major national projects currently implemented by the government nationwide including, the mega Suez Canal Project, the national project of maintaining roads and the project of reclaiming one million feddans.
He asserted that his ministry is engaged in dealing with a number of thorny files like developing a strategic vision for achieving a sustainable development in Egypt till 2030 and drawing up a plan for the administrative reform in Egypt.
For its part, the AFDB voiced their readiness to provide all necessary technical assistance for Egypt.
