A civil society activist said on Tuesday that the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) due on March 13-15 would succeed, citing the high international turnout expected in the summit.
Mahmoud el Badawy, a member in the board of trustees of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures, said the conference would attract new investment into the Egyptian market.
"The event is very important because it reassures the world Egypt recovered from the ordeal, which hit the state throughout the democratic transition period," he said.
Badawy underlined that terrorism would not hinder Egypt from achieving desirable progress and development, especially in the economic field.
