EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on Tuesday said Iran will benefit from European investments in various fields, in conjunction with implementing the nuclear deal and after lifting sanctions, Sky News Arabia reported.
EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini arrived in Tehran for a one-day visit to discuss implementation of an agreement for Iran to curtail its nuclear program in return for lifting sanctions against the country.
During a press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Mogherini said implementation of the agreement "depends on political will, commitment and patience of all parties involved".
The implementation of the deal will open new chapter in the economic, trade and political relations between Iran and the European Union, she said.
The deal has the capacity to pave the ground for wider cooperation between Iran and the West, Mogherini added
"Regional and international cooperation with Iran is very important for us."
"It is now time to show that we have both achieved an agreement and are capable of implementing it. It is a landmark historic event," the EU foreign policy chief said.
