Cairo - Arab Today

Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby reiterated on Saturday that a new civil service law will not lead to salary cuts.

"The government is serious in carrying out reforms at all levels," he said in an interview with Al Kahera Wal Nas satellite channel.

No development could be achieved without a real administrative reform, he stressed.

He revealed that an administrative reform plan was presented to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab who supported it.

Egypt has endorsed a new civil service law, which triggered protests by some employees who claimed that the legislation will harm their financial dues; an allegation that was denied by the government.
