Protecting public wealth is a national duty that the cabinet is very keen on carrying out, said His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah here Thursday.
During a session for the National Assembly regarding remarks by the audit bureau on the government performance, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak welcomed efforts aimed at keeping the spending of public wealth in-check, noting that the cabinet will abide by the Kuwaiti leadership's instructions on fully cooperating with parliament on this aspect.
The legislative and executive authorities should work together to ensure transparency and protect public wealth, said His Highness the Prime Minister.
Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak welcomed audit bureau's reports on the spending of public wealth, stressing that any effort in such regard will be fully supported by the government.
Reforms needs time to be implemented, said the Prime Minister who added that addressing problems and acts of corruption systematically will lead to solutions and progress.
