Cairo Governor Galal Saeed asserted that vendors will not be back in downtown, adding that they will be transferred from Ramsis Square to another area soon.
Ramsis square will be cleaned to bring it back to its old clean image, he said.
This came during a meeting of the executive council under Saeed.
During the meeting, a decision was issued to impose a 1,000-pound fine daily on any car dealers who display cars outside them without a permit.
Also, a decision was reached to fine any garage owner with 200 pounds for each car that is not parked inside and using the place for other purposes.
In addition, tuk-tuk vehicles are banned on main streets and there will be a 1,000-pound fine for any violation.
The governor said that the UAE has granted 600 buses to the public transport.
