Moroccan Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy Moulay Hafiz Al-Alami said that Morocco has witnessed a major development in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive and aviation industry. He revealed that Morocco recently signed 17 investment agreements worth AED 2.4 billion to create new Job opportunities.
Al-Alami said in a special interview for "Morocco Today" that these agreements resulted in a transaction number of 7.62 billion dirhams signed by the concerned contracting managers in these projects, including 14 projects related to the automotive industry and 3 projects of interest to the aviation industry.
He stressed those new technical specialties such as stereotyping would be introduced, which would promote local integration and intensify the productive fabric, which would result in the creation of research and development centers.
He added that pilot projects will be completed and complemented by local value chains, with the Chinese company "Xizhong" which will manufacture air conditioning systems, "Electroplast", which will specialize in surface treatment and "Licorporation Auto Motif" in Morocco, which will develop new technology in the embedded electronics sector.
In response to a question about projects that will contribute to promoting local integration, the Minister replied that there are projects related to Knauf and Hispamolds, which will work in plastic injection molding. The joint venture between Dolidol and the Spanish company, Manufacturing of seat cover and integrated seats.
Another important investment for Liony, which is part of a comprehensive development plan for the group in Morocco, envisages the creation of 11,000 new direct jobs in Morocco. The Group intends to establish a global R & D center in the Kingdom.
