Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called Thursday for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

Achieving security and stability in Palestine will reflect in the regional security and stability, Abbas asserted.

Delivering a speech at Djibouti Parliament, the Palestinian leader said Palestinians are still committed to lofty ethical and humanitarian principles and the peaceful resistance to the Israeli aggression.

Also, he urged the international community to provide a protection to the Palestinian people suffering from the Israeli long-standing occupation and its provocative practices against holy places in Al Quds.

Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of holding an international conference on peace and setting up an international support group as well as developing a multiple mechanism to solve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict

The Palestinian leader condemned the hideous crimes of terror groups spreading in Arab region, Africa and the whole world.

He pointed out that Palestine has joined the newly-formed Islamic coalition led by Saudi Arabia to combat terrorism.

Abbas thanked Djibouti president and its people for their support of the Palestinian cause, hailing the great leap made in the democratic path in Djibouti in a short period.

The Palestinian president has inaugurated the new headquarters of the Palestinian embassy in Djibouti in the presence of Djibouti Prime Minister Abdel Kader Kamel Mohamed.
