Israeli occupation forces arrested 20 Palestinian traders at border crossings in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since the start of the year, the Palestinian Prisoners Center for Studies reported.
In a press release, the center said the occupation forces detained Palestinian traders and businessmen during tight campaigns on the terminals they control.
Palestinian businessman Ibrahim Seyam was detained without any reasons at the Karama border terminal while crossing from the West Bank to Jordan, the center said.
The occupation forces arrested 19 traders at the border crossing of Beit Hanoun (Erez) since the start of the year with some still in detention, the center added.
The center urged the World Trade Organization and international institutions to protect Palestinian traders and release the detained ones.
