Israel releases Palestinian legislative council speaker Duwaik
Palestinian Legislative Council Aziz Duwaik

The Israeli occupation authorities released on Tuesday speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council Aziz Duwaik after spending 12 months in jail.
In a short speech to reporters after his release, Duwaik denounced Israeli attempts to humiliate Palestinians through arrests.
He called for showing support to the Palestinian cause and the release of Palestinian prisoners.
Duwaik was detained and jailed by the occupation forces on charges over addressing the public in the West Bank.
He has been detained many times and spent around four years in Israeli prisons.
