The Afghan Foreign Ministry has strongly protested to the ambassador of Pakistan over the arrest and harassment of Afghan diplomats in Pakistan.
A statement issued by the ministry states that Sayed Abrar Hussain, ambassador of Pakistan in Kabul was summoned by the foreign ministry over the issue.
Hikmat Khalil Karzai, Deputy Foreign Minister turns this type of act against the diplomatic rules. While in the meeting with the Pakistani ambassador, Hikmat Khalil Karzai expressed strong protest of the government of Afghanistan over the issue.
The protest of the Afghan government to Pakistan comes after four Afghan diplomats were arrested by police in Peshawar city of Pakistan on this last Thursday, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
They were released after spending hours in captivity.
Since the deadly Peshawar attack Afghans living in Pakistan are being harassed and put in jail on different blames.
Hundreds of Afghans have been arrested since the Peshawar attack that left hundreds of people killed or wounded.
The attack took place on 16 December 2014 where a group of 6-7 gunmen stormed an army-run school and carried out a massacre.
