Rabat - Ahmed Benkhadija

Moroccan team Rabat - Ahmed Benkhadija Moroccan team Wedad Baydawy lost 2-1 to Malian team Djoliba in their third match, ending the African Cup Union dream. Wedad was the only Moroccan team present in the tournament. Wedad scored first with a head strike from Younis Hawassi in the 38th minute of the game, just after Wedad's midfielder Mohammed Bin Rabah missed the chance to score with a penalty kick in the 31st minute of the game However it all went downhill from the second haf, where the Wedad players seemed to have lost their endurance. The Malians took advantage of it and a goal was scored in the 75th minute by Aliu Bakayoko. The referee granted Djoliba a penalty kick in the 90th minute, after Wedad's goalkeeper Nader Almiaggrey hampered one of Djoliba's players. Midfielder Bourahma Sidibe scored, securing the victory for the Malian team and 3 precious points for the tournament.
